You know the feeling you get when you are surrounded in a sea of people, but feel completely and utterly alone? How infuriating it is to see the rest of the world go on with their lives, as you are sort of stuck in this weird limbo that a breakup leaves you in? Because I do, and every time I go through one, I realize that the English dictionary does not hold enough volume to fully express just how much a breakup sucks.

The day after is surreal… you get up, and everything is the same, but also, completely different. You brush your teeth, maybe shower, make a coffee, go to work if you are like me and would rather focus on anything else besides your own feelings. Cars go by, the mailman does his daily rounds, and kids are screeching happily on the street with their friends. You look at it all thinking… they have no idea that your entire world has just fallen apart.

But you know what they say… the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. I do not totally believe that, but I can say that a rebound has always been a nice distraction.
